It's casual day today being Friday and all, and although some people seem to think that track pants are acceptable(they're not) and although I try to wear a dress rather than jeans, I think these are, well, cute. Plus before you get all hot under the colour and ask me where I bought my PaperDenim&Cloth jeans in Melbourne, they're not. Read and weep.

I am told that this is my 'Mr.T' necklace, but I don't agree at all. It was a gift from a friend who travelled through Egypt, and I just adore it. In my mind there is nothing Mr.T about it, it is simply tres, tres chic.

Dress is another Yeojin Bae for Target, crocheted lace cardigan is a hand me down from my Great Aunt Una who bought it in Hong Kong in the 1950's and wedges are from Nine West.

So I was out the other night and my friend produced one of these. 'What on earth have you got there?' I naturally exclaimed. 'A Llama' she replied of course. So I tracked down where she bought it from and it turns out a friends mother is extremely talented with vintage fabric and a sewing machine.

35 degrees makes it hard to stay stylish when you just sweat.

Yes, its a Birkin, handed down to me from mum. Jeans are from River Island, shirt thrifted from Episode then borrowed from boyfriend, scarf hand made, shoes from Zomp- their own label.

So its Saturday shopping as usual, I think I'm going back to Chateau Chic to get more monster dolls.

Pants are Ted Baker, t-shirt from the Valley Girl factory outlet($7, I know!), shoes are hand crafted by Adelaide shoe maker 'Kelly' from Club House Lane Boutique.

And this is what I wore last night. Kind of taffeta ode to a flamenco dancer. Not sure anyone got it, but I liked it.

Who wears a hood when they go out for drinks on a Friday? This girl does.

This has become somewhat of a fail safe dress- throw it on and it just looks good. I wore it on Saturday night with the Nine West wedges and Country Road Tux jacket.

It is not however, Missoni. How I wish it was!

Top is a blouse from Germany traditionally worn under a dirndl that a wonderful shop called Episode imports along with many other vintage finds from Europe. High waisted pants from Cue, belt from Camden market in London, shoes are Kurt Geiger, ring from Chanel.

So to local gals this dress isn't anything new on the scene, its from the 'Designers for Target' range that was released late last year. However, this is from Yeojin Bae's collection, who not only is an outstanding Australian designer in her own right, she's from Melbourne also.

It's not exactly winter time where I am, but I like this outfit none the less.

So its been a while hasn't it? Many parties and events later I have finally arrived back in blog land with some new purchases and some some gorgeous exotic bird I found wandering around Melbourne Central.
