Happy Friday Give-Away: Tickets to the Melbourne International Jazz Festival
Yep that's correct, I have a double pass to 'Baby it's Cold Outside' on the opening night of the Melbourne International Jazz Festival.
Inspired by the popular ABC release Baby It's Cold Outside, the opening night of the 2010 Melbourne International Jazz Festival will celebrate the great jazz torch songs penned by George Gershwin, Cole Porter and Rodgers and Hart and made famous by the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday and Frank Sinatra.
For one night only, these timeless classics will be reinterpreted by an all-star cast of singers including Lior, Whitley, Clare Bowditch, Megan Washington and many more.
You don't have to be from Melbourne necessarily to enter the comp, you just have to be in Melbourne on May 1st so you can see the show.

It's my first Happy Friday post for 2010 so I'm kind of thrilled that a competition ends today. Don't forget to enter, there could be a vintage dress and other fabulous finds in there for you!I bought this dress at Episode on Sydney Rd and it had a ghastly(seriously, who uses that word) canary yellow collar and trim on the pockets and sleeves. I unpicked all of that, took it up and now have a lovely grey dress that I have wanted for, well, forever.
H.L thinks that I look like Noeline from Sylvania Waters with those glasses on and begs me not to wear them, but I'm rather fond of them in a Florida-retiree-kind-of-way. I love Nana Chic so they are here to stay.
I'm kind of blown away by all your entries into the comp, I can tell by my analytics that visitors have dropped(which isn't unusual this time of year) so I guess I thought not many people would enter. For all you troopers back at work in the new year while the rest of us are on holiday, I hope you find this entertaining and win yourself a prize! Happy Friday: Dreaming of Dior Give-Away!
So, here it is folks, the Happy Friday Dreaming of Dior by Charlotte Smith book give away! I've hinted about it on the blog and on twitter but it was pretty obvious it was the book don't you think?!I was racking my brains about what to wear in the post and it dawned on my while I was hunting around the studio that I had my own mini Dreaming of Dior moment. Earlier in the year I inherited the two vintage dresses I'm wearing in the post, and managed to salvage a picture of my Aunt Joan wearing the pink number at a wedding in the 1970's.
In her younger years, Joan was a ball room dancer and had many of her clothes hand made especially for competitions and events. Although this wasn't one of them, the dresses are so special to me and I absolutely treasure them.
