Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, er no

This little number was, or perhaps still is bound for the Etsy shop, but when I tried it on to photograph it I found I quite liked it. I think.
It's not really a style I would normally go for and I can't explain my attraction to it- I just like it. I think it's the colour and you can all stop laughing because I know, it's not black and white.
My problem with it, is that I don't really know how to wear it, in particular when accessorising things went a little awry.
What would you do with it?

I would send it far, far away (and preferably make some money from it into the bargain). You do look awfully cute in it, but the shirt itself is just not quite the thing, I think it might be the collar and the pocket detailing?

It needs a pencil skirt and funky heels.

oh, and keep the belt

I love the colour but I think all the detail on is a little distracting. I would sell it :D

I second the motion. While a good shirt in itself, it does need to make its departure from your wardrobe.

If you're not planning on an african safari vacation any time soon I think this one might be best for the store!
Cute but not Lady Melbourne cute.

I have to echo the others girls' advice, although I do think you look amazing in blue!

LM - I like the top, the colour is becoming. I have a question regarding appropriate spring race wear: if black hoisery is not suitable with my outfit choice do I wear nude? (closed in shoe) Im scared that bare legs are not correct race attire if I was to enter fashion on the field. Whats your Lady Like advice. xf

I actually like it a lot (even though it's a bit of a departure from your reg look) - looks great with the shoes. What I'd suggest is, if you keep it, wear it with less accessories. This is one piece that can stand on its own. I think the accessories give it a busy-ness it doesn't need...

you look great, and you love it, so keep it! i love those shoes so much.

in this outfit, i love your leggings! or perhaps it's your legs that i love ? so long and slim!

Love it! Especially the color. The leggings are perfect and the belt looks amazing, but maybe skip the necklace altogether. Just a thought.

I like colour of the jacket. Very interesting.

I like it. You have the legs for it so wear it well. Came to find your blog by way of Kira Fashion. I enjoyed visiting. All the best.

I actually really like it, and how you've styled it here. I think the big black belt and pearls work with it!

While colour of the top is quite lovely, and you can make anything look fabulous with all your jewels thrown in, the weight of the fabric and the harshness of the cut is not entirely becoming. And leggings are the devil (even when you have the perfect legs for them, as you do!)... sell it.

I thought it looked very chic the way you wore it the other night...with the polka dot scarf?
It truly looked sharp, especially with your hair the way it was.

It's a different look for you but experimentation is a good thing :) Plus, this outfit shows off your killer figure beautifully.

The only way I'm not a fan of is with the brooch - it becomes a little too busy.

Ohh, yes, a pencil skirt. Good one anonymous. Espadrilles (sp?)? What about a sailor-ish scarf, cute white shorts and slip on sailor shoes. Lots of votes for sell it, but could be something to experiment with. Keep it for that reason alone. At least for a season.

I love the color on that blouse and if the model would be a bit different (if you could button it all the way up and it would not have the lower pockets) it would be good with a basic black pencil skirt... now it's propably too thick to tuck in under a garnment... I'd say keep since it might come in handy one day it but you'd porpably never wear it anyway, thats the way it usually goes if one is unsure.

I gave you an award in my blog btw :)

I think that the whole outfit is splendid. I agree with Esme and the Freelancer. I think keep the top because this colour is so nice for you, but I think loose the brooch (and maybe the pearls), and possibly try it with a black pencil skirt.

You look really elegant & stylish wit the ponytail & bangs!

The colour really suits you, I quite like it with the black leggings. I think it would look great with a colourful but coordinated vintage scarf tied around your waist, and very high high heels or ankle boots, and accessories kept to a minimum - maybe just a simple chunky silver bangle.

hmm.. i agree with you. i've always had a bit of a hard time deciding on the whole safari trend. have you tried wearing it with a skirt but tucked in? could look like an interesting structured shirt.

I like it on you, I really do, I love the whole outfit, and I'm really not just saying it to be nice, it's my honest opinion. I think it would also be nice with a pencil skirt and great heels as suggested. It may be a departure from your usual style, but you've given it that LM touch and made it your own.

I'm no fashion expert, but as an artist, and as a man, I say, it all works for me. The color is terrific for you, and those leggings atop those shoes are perfect.

Cute outfit, but although you have a great bod, leggings are not pants ;)
