This beautiful Toaist temple was so serene and peaceful, you could sit there for hours and forget that you were in one of the busiest cities in the world.
Today's mission was bags and shoes and I was quite successful. As I mentioned previously, I always like to suss out the hidden shopping gems and low and behold I have discovered shopping nirvana here in Hong Kong.
One of my friends who lives here showed me down a lane off Granville Rd in Tsim Sha Tsui and into a non descript building with no signage or advertising. I thought to myself, what on earth could possibly be in here to see?
Well, plenty, it is floor upon floor of tiny 'in-shops' some of them no bigger than your average bathroom, some of them only 1 metre deep. But it's here that you find where the locals shop and get a glimpse into local Kowloon fashion. Denim, jackets, dresses, accessories, shoes, boots, bags, skirts, blouses, coats- it is endless!
Here are some pictures I snapped so you get an idea of the size.

Hi LM!
This little shop are vey similar at the Subway of Florence's Station!
Nice!

The bag and shoes are nice. Even as a local in HK, I must admit that this is a really amazing city where girls can shop, shop & shop, at high or v. affordable prices. And happenings here are explosive (and can be sometimes mind-numbing). See the variety of newspapers/magazine. See the country parks which are just one-hour distance from the hustle & bustle city. Call me egoistic but I don't think any city in the world can be as enriching & convenient as here : P
These posts are fantastic for me, because I'd never get to see Hong Kong like this anywhere else.
You did very well with bags and shoes, Lady M. I love those flats with the bit of bamboo across the toe.
Oh how I would love to browse through that enchanting maze!
Take care!
Mademoiselle M.
We lived in HK a long, long time ago (I was a teenager), and I used to shop in those buildings full of tiny shops. They were the cheapest and the craziest, where you could find the really out-there designs. Loved it!
LOVE your dress!
The bag is gorgeous, I have been eyeing a similar style in Sydney.
i love having endless shops to go to! melbourne needs more laneway shops and more hours!
oh oh oh such prettttty shoes and bags!
How is it you manage to still look so glam in sweltering heat? Though, I'd take Hong Kong humidity over glamour any day right now. Thanks for sharing a glimpse of what you're up to!
ahhh im so jealous, i would kill to go there for the shopping. so amazing. love it. :)
oh the shoes are heartbreakingly gorgeous. surely you bought them?! i wouldn't be able to walk past.
Great little shoes, the detailing is so cute! I love the 'laneway' style of shopping, so many hidden treasures to find.
I miss HK looking at your pictures!! We were there 2 or 3 years ago, and that little shopping place was still quite empty- looks like you got some cool deals there!
