The Harbour

Here are some touristy shots for you to gander at, the light and the colours in Hong Kong are just amazing. The very top pic is taken at an outdoor temple in Repulse Bay that has massive mosaic sculptures of the signs of the zodiac amongst many other things.

I am unapologetic about my pale skin and felt quite at home carrying a parasol around in a city where it is the norm not the exception. It's nice to be somewhere in the world where shunning a suntan is the cool thing to do!
My time is coming to an end soon and I will be most sorry to leave, truly if you have never been to Hong Kong it is just fabulous.

I'm enjoying reading of your trip! I'm one of those read-fashion-sites-but-never-comment types, but your blog really is interesting. I think your obsession with black and white isn't a bad thing; it's cute and reminds me of myself (though with different things).

love,
cait

You are clearly the most stylish woman in HK at the moment. Enjoy your further travels dear.

Yep - parasols are totally normal there, although it's all hooked into some dodgy cultural "paler skin is classier" stuff. You just look pretty though!

I love seeing your pictures, they make me feel like I'm on holiday. :) Hong Kong looks absolutely stunning. And I love the shot of you with a parasol, very colonial Raj. :D

I noted that the light and colors are extraordinary. You've captured them very well.

Lovely pictures! Isn't it funny that in a different culture, it's fashionable to be pale-skinned. (in S.E. Asia they sell skin-whitening lotion instead of fake tan!)

Your photos of Hong Kong are beautiful! I have a parasol similar to yours and am looking forward to digging it out again. It would be nice to use it in a place where one didn't get so many weird looks though!

These photos are amazing! I think you've really captured the beauty of Hong Kong in your pictures :)

And you look fabulous as per usual!

Does this mean you get to stock up on parasols whilst you are there? Lovely photos thanks for sharing.

Love your outfit, that top looks perfect with the skinny jeans and flats. The parasol and bangles just set it all off perfectly. When I was in Hong Kong I looked like a melting mess in the heat but you look cool and oh so chic. : )

I'm back and back online, and so happy to see your fabulous photos. If you are having half as much fun as I did (which it looks like you are) Hurray! And yay for parasols. I carried one everywhere with me too, which in Japan was cool, but Texans did not understand what the hell I was doing with an umbrella on a sunny day. Still, we'll both be chic and wrinkle free.

So glad you are having such a fab time!
Your pictures are exquisite and I adore that you're carrying a parasol...I have one very similar that I wanted to take to Fiji but alas, I couldn't fit it in my case.

Love the loot you've scored so far. Keep having fun xxx
