In the Garden

This is my garden, can you spot the plants?! Living inner city all I have in a balcony, but it's still nice to sit out there in the sun.
This dress is a new addition to the wardrobe, and it breaks my rule of buying summer clothes that are not black and white.
I've been shopping for a maxi dress for a while now, but all I seem to find is gaudy boho prints that look like they had to recycle the left over fabric from last season. Chain stores: I'm not buying it!
So yes, I have cheated my way into a maxi dress, but if gold counts as a colour I've piled it on, think Lady Melbourne as a black and gold Christmas tree. She winks.
Dress: Salvation Army. Tis' true, tis' true!
Bracelets: Hong Kong
Chain: Vintage Chanel
Bag: Camden Market
Watch: DKNY

I doubt the gold counts, but this dress is so great, who cares if you broke the rule!

Nice one!

Great dress, yuo really do find the best things in op shops! I love the contrast of the gold and black, so chic and I think it looks great without any colour.

Amazing dress! I love the halter-top style.

Your hair looks amazing.

I love the dress. I am having the same dilemma with maxi dresses - according to the chain stores tie dye is 'in' again. Um, no, I think not...

Gorgeous dress, and I love these photos - you look like a late-60s actress waiting on set for her scene to begin.

Maxi dresses have always seemed impossible to pull off for me but you look so perfect!!! You carry off that '70s look (and any decade, probably!) so well. :)

I'm a little after the fact I know but that ensemble is fabulous. Very 60's mod and the vintage Chanel chain really makes it all look sophisticated with a mod edge
