It's spring time in Australia at the moment, although you wouldn't think so with the wild weather we've been having. There have been floods if can you believe it!
So to make the most of the moody weather I have pulled out one of my silk fascinators that when it is off season for the races, I wear as a corsage.
Black, of course.
And I'm experimenting with different hair as you may have noticed recently, I'm thinking of growing out my fringe. It's been with me now for the last 7 years(yep, you read it right) but I think it might be time for a change.
I have also just manicured my nails(Sunday ritual for me) and I urge anyone out there who paints their own nails to go out and buy 'Valentine' by Revlon. Superb.
Pants: Country Road
Silk top: I made it
Corsage/fascinator: I also made it
Collar: Flea market, Paris
Heels: eBay

I've always thought your fringe (bangs) suited you - but then again, everything you style suits you!
There's nothing like a piece of clothing that you use in different ways: Brooches as necklaces, scarves as belts, clip on earrings as shoe ornaments...
It's all product extension for fashion!
Great look as usual!
i think the new hair looks great !
This is probably my favourite outfit that I have seen you wear!
And I think the hair looks fantastic.
I love fringes, but I also love change - so yeah, give the no-fringe look a go! ...especially now that everyone is wearing them and they've become kind of 'trendy'...I hate it when that happens, makes me want to rebel against the trend, even if it's something I once liked...like fringes...God, I'm rambling! Need coffee...
As much as I thought you really rocked the fringe, the sans-fringe look is fabulous! I get bored with my fringe all the time but I never have the patience to just let it grow, I always chop it all off again once it gets to a certain length. I wore black and white today too ;) although I didn't look quite as stylish as you! I LOVE the flower.
Ooh I love your hair swept to the side like that! It looks so casually glamourous.
Please tell me Lady Melbourne, do you use a base or clear top coat for your wonderful manicure? And which ones are the bees knees?
Lady Melbourne in her natural habitat, demonstrates how to rock tuxedo-esque trousers with the poise and elegance that is typical of this species.
I'm usually a dedicated OPI fan. If you know OPI colours at all, what colour would you compare Revlon's Vixen to? I'll never say no to a good red!
x
Ahhh I'm a big fan of Revlon Valentine, I had it on my toes the other day :)
You look great in these pics, I love the corsage/fascinator flowers.
i was about to say, nice coloured nails!
the first thing i noticed was your hair, i really do love it! its nice for the summer(if it ever comes)! and also i think i might have to go and look for that colour tomorrow it looks so beautiful! you look so good in black and white you make me love monochrome more than i already do:) x
Darling LM, I've bestowed an award to your fab daily musings. See my blog for the details

Brilliant! Yet again. And your pants seem to make your legs look endless! Jealous!
I love the fringe but if you are anything like me, anytime I grow it out I end up cutting it again.
:D
Ha ha, we share the same Sunday-ritual ;)
Love everything about this....a new side to Lady Melbourne...I've been contemplating getting rid of the fringe...but hate my forehead...
What a classy style and it's a good idea to grow out your fringe. I like it a lot.
i bow to you! speachless :)
It's always good to change up your look, and you look lovely with and without a fringe. :)
I'm growing mine out simply because Christchurch weather is not friendly to fringes - it is always being blown up at a right angle to my head, which is not a good look.
I adore you with bangs, but this style is fantastically sultry, too. Very curious to see what you decide to do, hair-wise! And, of course, love the fascinator-as-corsage.
weather is really crazy...and you are fantastic, love this flower :)
You're new hair looks lovely (although I love the fringe more), and the corsage is MAGNIFIQUE.
i have recently done the same!! i was just sick of having a fringe!!
i say go for it :)
Lady M, I do love your hair swept to the side. It's very nice to see you!
*dies*
Seriously, it was worth getting caught thieving company internets to see this ensemble!
Xx
Hi LM
I'm a corsage girl. I just love them and now a need one just like your :)
Kathy
Love the new hair, very sexy. Also, have you lost weight?!
I love this outfit! Total elegance.
Your legs look great too!
Oh, you look stunning here. I think your hair styled this way really suits you.
I always saw you as 'elegant' not sexy. Now that changed and I'm confused. I must copy that look with your permission. I'm heavily drooling over my keyboard... seriously and probably I'll have to be dragged off my computer by a cleaner soon.
V cute! Great nail colour too!
Gorgeous! Your new look is very flattering. Your bangs looked great as well. A change is like (another) holiday!
ohh the corsage looks fab. :)
