Here's an out take from the shoot I did for my Christmas column in Metro News. I am so happy I finally get to decorate the house, I've been bursting to get the kitsch out since the beginning of November!
I found this dress at Savers, it's hand cut and hand made. I'd put it around mid 50s and I think it will be perfect on Christmas day. I always buy a new dress to wear, I didn't think I'd find this years in Savers, and a vintage gem at that!
Happy decorating!

Oh my, I can just imagine how gorgeous your place must look at this time of year :). Great picture, I love how the red of your lips is reflected in your dress and the little bird, so cute!
How do you make the tedious task of growing your fringe out look so chic and effortless?!
I was so excited to get out the decorations today too (although they are totally toddler-friendly and not at all chic like yours). Love the dress, good score!
My trees been up for two weeks ... *blush* i'm so excited :D

I love your Cherry Blossom tree. Very stylish as one would expect LM.
I too always have a 'new' dress for Christmas! I have a vintage Alfred Shaheen that I'm saving for this year!

What a beautiful photo :)
P.S. Thank-you so much for commenting on my blog, LM! It made my day! :)
Great dress, what a find! And I love these pics too – and I want the bird!
Great shot! I've always wondered how people in the southern hemisphere approach Xmas (a hol so associated with piles of snow and freezing cold, short days etc.) Your tree idea is so unique, so perfect for celebration in a warm time of year.
such stylish christmas decor! its almost time to help my family drag out the christmas boxes and spend nights putting up lights on all our trees :P
yay! i can't believe it's Christmas season already! you've made me feel cheery all of a sudden :)
What a gorgeous tree! I love the little bird. Does he have a name, or is it only I who name every inanimate object in my house? Probably. You look stunning, as well - I love the print, and your red lipstick looks particularly vibrant.
What a fantastic score! I'm sure that fab frock will get some non-Christmas use, too. Your decorations are glorious, Lady - if my cats wouldn't destroy them in an instant, I might attempt something similar.
Beautiful Christmas decorations. Lovely silver and red combo... Great

I love the dress AND the decorations. This is so cool, you should definitely think of putting it on your Xmas cards, Lady M.
Gorgeous... would love to see how you've decorated the rest of your home!
wooo! i'm counting down the days too.
Forget Christmas and bring on the sales and Imelda Mike's big BIG b'day party!
Your Christmas decorations are far from kitsch, they are the classiest decorations I've ever seen. That bird is so cute. I love your dress and your 'tree'!
You make me feel so rubbish for not having started x'mas festivities!
