Dear me, someone hand me a fan!

If you are reading Australian blogs at the moment, particularly Melbourne based ones, you will probably already know about the heat wave we are experiencing. 43c, that's 109f. Enough said.

I picked this dress up second hand the other day for peanuts, it's so light weight and sheer I thought with a week ahead of sweltering heat it would be perfect. Plus it fits with my 'only colour for summer' policy for new clothes which isn't really working out but you know, I tried!
New sunnies as well, I was inspired by a very fashionable friend of mine who has the Tom Ford pair. I thought if I like these I'll search out a pair of my own.

Not to be outdone I've worked out how to play around with my hair and keep the fringe back, sans head band which is lovely because we all know I like to change things around.

Looking lovely and cool as a cucumber - do you have air con in your place?

Apparently it hit over 46 degrees in Adelaide today, and no relief in sight. Eek!

Someone said it managed to hit 47 for us in lil' ol' adelaide!

But being in the CBD in melbourne must have been terrible for you too with all the exhausts and such.

Lovely dress by the way, it looks very cool and airy.

I've also had to find ways to pin my hair away from my face so it doesn't get all sweaty!

Stay cool Lady M :)

Yikes! I didn't realize it had gotten THAT hot. Good thing you landed that gorgeous, lightweight dress. Just in time, eh?

Your hair looks fantastic like that - clever you.

You look so cool and fresh, I am very impressed. I turn into a red faced sweating heap in such conditions, so very unladylike. You're an inspiration to us all.

Your hair looks fab and the sunnies look cute ;)
This morning at 7:45 am it was 37 degrees here! I took your advice from this post and wore a light silk dress (a sack basically) - so now I'm as comfortable as can be in these conditions!

Looking divine as usual Lady M. That dress is a fantastic find for you. :D

I gave you a nod in my Blog last night, so take a gander when you've got a moment's respite from the terrible heat.

I do like that dress. The floral print is a treat. I think on my next visit to Melbourne, you Melbournites (Melbournians) will have to show me through these Savers places. We don't have them in NSW and my op shop lurking has produced nothing of late. The Sydney stores are hungry for the "vintage" and the warehouses are stocked. I met a woman here who wouldn't even tell me where she went for op shop warehouse clothing and that people actually tore clothing to try and stop others from getting pieces. Sydney op shoppers can be soooo nasty.

Wow - how did you do your hair? What spray do you use to keep it held so well?!?!

Beautiful dress!
It has only just gotten slightly cooler in Perth after two or three weeks of temperatures in the high 30s and 40s, so I feel your pain!

I don't know how you got that eyeliner to work so well for you. I have the same one and I can't seem to perfect the technique. Maybe you could share some tips?
