Picture this....

I bought these stencil frames at Ikea on the weekend, I've also got a really large cherry blossom that covers almost an entire wall. That will feature in up coming posts but I think these are just brilliant!
I know I'm not the first to discover them, I spotted them in a decorating magazine but I'm quite pleased with the result, specially as it gives me a new background to work with.

Blouse: Actually a dress(scroll down please for the post!)
Skirt: Pierre Cardin
Belt: Camden Market
Bow Tie in hair: Opp Shop

I love the picture frame wallpaper you have! or are those print outs of frames that have been cut out and stuck on your wall? either way, they're FANTASTIC! that dress/blouse is fantastic too! The little bow goes very well with the whole outfit :)

The stencils look amazing! Must. Go. To. Ikea. We didn't get a chance on the weekend :(. Your new hair is fab, must feel nice and light. I keep contemplating the chop but I'm too chicken. I've had so many bad haircuts.

Your hair diverted my attention from the stencils.

I love it! It is Art Deco glamour with a contemporary touch and it emphasizes your delicate facial features. Lovely!

Hair = S.T.U.N.N.I.N.G I do love a sharp bob and it gives you a fresh beginning to the New Year ( this little lad still has a mega migraine from New Years eve and my little scone pounded hard when I wrote that event). Pity darl about that frill neck lizard which is still camped around your neck.

love the wall frames, so creative.
but a to a different topic all together... i am in need of your advice.
i would like to acquire a chanel bag, however i don't think that there are any stockist in brisbane and the closest i think is in melbourne. can you suggest how much i would need to save up for a small to medium clutch and where can I find them?
if you could help with these questions it would be very much appreciated.

Did I miss the hair-chopping announcement? Missy, you look PHENOMENAL. Love the sassy side bow.

The stencil frames are really fun, too - look forward to seeing how the blossom figures in.

Oh wow! I love the wallframes.

I found some gorgeous wall stickers a while ago with images of paris, but alas, I think I need to wait until my lease is up later this year and I move somewhere more permanent. I couldn't leave them behind or destroy them.

Also... I love your hair, it looks fantastic. I wish I could do a fringe. Curly hair is sadly not compatible with that wish.

It's summer and shorter hair is always on my mind this time of year. I've gone a tad shorter than you and am daringly thinking of going shorter again. I had short hair for such a long time that long hair was so much of a novelty friends passed by me when they saw me while visiting interstate early in 2008. The ensemble is a treat. Lovely colours - and that wall. Too sweet.

This is my first comment to your beautiful blog, which I discovered about a week ago! I absolutely dore the soft, romantic feel of the photos, do you take them yourself with a self-timer or do you have an in-house photog?

Gorgeous! x

I love the stencil frames, but I think I love your shirt/dress even more (I'm a sucker for ruffles).

Ditto with everyone on the hair cut Lady M. Super sophisticated as always. You are looking rather svelt too...

Loving the wall decos, unfortunately I don't have enough wall space for them at Vintage Verve HQ. Dying to see the cherry blossom one though: maybe my hallway could use a floral touch...

Happy New Year beautiful lady! <3

I have SO much to catch up on...so many fabulous posts, no doubt I'll be on here reading for the next 15 mins! :)

Ohhh, your hair is heaven. So french, chic and sharp. It must have taken a bit of courage but the result is superb. I've always thought bobs are the very chicest hair cuts, for those lucky enough to have the hair type for it, ie you! :) One of my dream hair looks = Michelle Pfeiffer in Scarface, sigh.

Love the stencils. I'm obsessed with cherry blossoms as a decorating motif and only last night I was telling my darling I want a handpainted cherry blossom wallpaper in my dressing room. Can't wait to see yours - I can live through you till I get mine! I may have to visit Ikea, thanks for sharing the tip. xxx

Hi LM!
I've been reading your blog for a while, and I've subscribed to in my reader... but I've never commented. I thought today I would add to the general consensus that your 1) your hair and 2) your picture frames look AMAZING. I love it.

I've been umming and aahing about cutting my hair for about 6 months... so I admire you for making the chop!

Adore your blog, writing style and photography.

The stencils are indeed brilliant. And so are you. You look stunning as usual. Love the hair. The top is gorgeous with that gray skirt.

I just needed to say that your haircut really works well with your face! You look so beautiful!

Romantic Apple- they are stickers pre cut, all I had to do was peel them off.

A Dreamer- I'd say it would be the firewall of the computer you are on. Its happened to me before. If you can hold on a few more days until you're home!

Oniomania- You're looking at roughly $3000. A medium classic flap from memory is $2980 but my readers will no doubt correct me if thats wrong. You can buy plenty of other styles but as a starting point I would aim for that. Apart from buying online, I would suggest you make the trip to Sydney or Melbourne for your purchase.

Sal- don't be!

Pretty Face- I take all my own photos. I have 2 tripods and I use a self timer. Sadly there is no one nearby willing to be my photographer! But I love taking the pictures myself.

Manda- thank you for stopping by!

To all, your lovely thoughts are always appreciated, I'm lucky to have such wonderful readers.
