I loved the way that my red skirt looked in the sun so I thought I'd swap things around and wear it again, just a little different.
I don't own a lot of red, in fact I'm not even sure I like wearing it, but we are cooking at the moment(it's the hottest day ever recorded here in Melbourne, 46.4c) so it's kind of fitting I think!
Oh, and the skirt was a gift from a dear friend(you know who you are!) from an op-shop. My friends know me so well, not sure how many people would be thrilled with a gift from a charity shop but for me it is just perfect and I love it.
My love of pencil skirts is burgeoning- I have, er, well lets just say that they don't sit lonely in the wardrobe!

xx. A
LOVE the skirt! Looks striking with the red. 46.4!? I am amazed at your ability to put together such a fab outfit in that heat!
you definitely should own more red as it looks amazing on you! the skirt is lovely, youre lucky to have friends who know exactly what you want!
brooke xx

i usually wear red and you should do it too...it fits you very well!!
Gorgeous! I love the pattern on the skirt, and I think red looks great on you - it's such a classic, flattering colour
Great, great shoes!

so chic! it looks like summer :D kiss
So cute! Lucky you, I'm freezing up here in the north of England... I need to go where you are!

thanks for the link! we have returned the compliment!!!
Hot nail colour - and gosh darn you wear a pencil skirt well! xx
46.4c is simply too hot!
The skirt is loveley - what a wonderful gift. Your friend has very good taste and obviously undersands your love of black and white.
Xx
i add you to my blog link.
very nice inspirations here also
xoxo
from paris with love
I know it probably feels too warm in Melbourne, but I'D swap... xx
oh fellow aussie LM'r - thanks so much for the blogroll add :)
already had you on mine so can't return the favour again! haha
but thanks - feel very special!
hope you had a good weekend xxx LM
Ok, yeah...red looks absolutely lovely on you, like everyone said! I understand your love for black and white, but you just pull off colors so well...it wouldn't be fair to limit yourself.
The print on the skirt is beautiful....
46 degrees... Hotttt!
Your outfit is lovely =]
Lovely as always. I tagged you on my blog, you don't have to do it... The snow here in London keeps me blog ridden but I'm sure there's far more glorious things to do in that sun! xx
You look marvelous in a pencil skirt, even in the baking fires of hell there.
I bought a pencil skirt yesterday from Lifeline, but I think it might have to become a mini for me to get away with it.
Your blog is fabulous!!!!
The wiggle/pencil skirt really looks quite stunning on you. You are fortunate as others such as myself find them very unflattering. I look all bumps and lumps where you quite streamlined. It lengthens your torso whilst minimizing your (already tiny) waist. Your friend knows how to pick skirts which are highly flattering. Bravo!
Skirt looks like from Marc Jacobs spring collection!
PS. 46?!?!?! Too hot:)
loving the new location!
you've just inspired me to wear my bag (that looks a lot like yours but is from somewhere a lot less interesting) with the full long strap. i've been winding mine over so that it's short...
you look great! I love your bag<3 :*
Red suits you! I can't believe you managed to look so composed in that heat..
what a lovely skirt! perfect fit and looks great with the splash of colour! lulki xxx
Ohhh I love the sexy strappy sandals especially with the perfect red pedi <3
And your curves look killer in that t shirt. I'm sure Cotton On has never looked so glam!
You're inspiring me to find a longer length pencil/wiggle skirt. I have wiggle dresses but I've never done the skirt thing.
You make me want to give it a go :) xxx
