Art Melbourne

His Lordship and I visited the Art Melbourne 2009 fair at the Royal Exhibition Building today, courtesy of 'Seven Contemporary Artists,' a Melbourne based collective of women artists.
As with all massive events of this nature there is plenty of crap to sift through, but there was plenty that left an impression as well.
Tux trousers: Ted Baker
Blouse: Vintage Lady Pelaco
Pearls: Primark
Cuff: Chanel

Gorgeous blouse, love the tuxedo look.
That pearl necklace, how I love it.
I love the masculinity of the shirt mixed with the femininity of the pearls.

Those pearls are AMAZING and so are the boots.
Stay ladylike my dear- there is far too much Supre flooding the streets of Melbourne, I'm afraid.

That blouse is cute! The shag shirt in your previous post is also very nice and I'm not even that big a blouse / tunic fan.
Lovely blog!

Love the black and white photos composition of your today posting!

Yes, indeed, much crap to sift through: Hobbyist housewives from Brighton with their drab water colours; imitation indigenous art; dodgy second-rate stencil art.

The parochial Affordable Art show has not even a modicum of credibility in the art world. Very prudent of the organisers to choose a name, logo and location markedly similar to the actual biennial Melbourne Art Fair which is held in high esteem.

But, LM, as you possess a fine arts degree, I am merely stating what you clearly know.

Love the black & white photos. When I was in your fine city a few weeks back I took a tonne of black & white photos of some of your wonderful local buildings and landmarks and I've framed and hung them at home. Love Melbourne : )
