His Lordship and I visited the Art Melbourne 2009 fair at the Royal Exhibition Building today, courtesy of 'Seven Contemporary Artists,' a Melbourne based collective of women artists.
As with all massive events of this nature there is plenty of crap to sift through, but there was plenty that left an impression as well.

Gorgeous blouse, love the tuxedo look.
That pearl necklace, how I love it.
I love the masculinity of the shirt mixed with the femininity of the pearls.
You look fabulous, dear! Love that blouse with the pearls <3
very pretty - and it's not outfit-related but i really like the cut of your fringe! xo
Those pearls are AMAZING and so are the boots.
Stay ladylike my dear- there is far too much Supre flooding the streets of Melbourne, I'm afraid.
oh, so wonderful! i neeeed to visit an art gallery soon. i love art.
i love your big pearls! they're gorgeous (as are you).
xoxo
love, dayna
That blouse is cute! The shag shirt in your previous post is also very nice and I'm not even that big a blouse / tunic fan.
Lovely blog!
Love the black and white photos composition of your today posting!
Yes, indeed, much crap to sift through: Hobbyist housewives from Brighton with their drab water colours; imitation indigenous art; dodgy second-rate stencil art.
The parochial Affordable Art show has not even a modicum of credibility in the art world. Very prudent of the organisers to choose a name, logo and location markedly similar to the actual biennial Melbourne Art Fair which is held in high esteem.
But, LM, as you possess a fine arts degree, I am merely stating what you clearly know.
Looking lovely as usual! OH and LOVE LOVE the shoes fomr teh previous post!
Love the black & white photos. When I was in your fine city a few weeks back I took a tonne of black & white photos of some of your wonderful local buildings and landmarks and I've framed and hung them at home. Love Melbourne : )
Very striking Lady M! Love those baubles and that delightful Shirt.
I love this whole ensemble!
Xx
I am wearing a pile of shell pearls today, Lady Melbourne, and thinking of YOU!
Ooo the third picture is so noir.
I've been looking for a pair of skinny trousers for so long! I need a pair!
i just adore your use of light in your photos!
Adorable!!!
