Layer Cake

I believe I have mentioned before how much I enjoy the cooler weather, you can accessorise so much better.
Wearing a sun dress and sandals isn't enough for me I'm afraid!

Last time I did a post like this is was quite successful, and I only thought of doing it in the first place because I realised just how many layers I was wearing.
Today isn't too bad, but it's de rigour in Melbourne to layer up because we are famous for having 4 seasons in one day.
I've had this dress for about 2 years now and I wish I had bought two, its one of those pieces you can wear again, and again, and again......

Knit dress: Target (I know!)
Trench: Zara
Scarf: H&M in Prague
Gold necklace: Chanel
Rope necklace: Lady Melbourne
Bracelets: Lady Melbourne
Tights: 120 denier tights by Kayser.....I think!
Ballet flats: Country Road
Boots: Primark
Bag: Longchamp
Gloves: H&M

Love how you layered the necklaces with the scarf, I have never thought to do that. Thanks for the inspiration as always :)

Ahaha I love how we've both done an "I KNOW!" in an outfit post recently... you for target and me for k-mart! It's so surprising sometimes where you find lovely things!
Beautiful outfit! x

I really love the way you put your outfit together and transformed the simple classical black dress! So classic and timeless! xxoxoxo

some of the best things are found in target... i have a full skirt with a big bow on the front that I got from Target this year and I wear it all the time... they're really good for basics.
I think the tights are probably around the 70/80 denier mark, just because they aren't completely opaque (like the"total opaques" they have out this season) - but I could very well be wrong, it could jusst be flash or something... not trying to be mean, i hope that's not taken badly!! :)

you look lovely as usual! I'm excited to see what you wear this season... winter is so much more exciting fashion wise. I hope it's getting cold down there, it was freezing in sydney today!

oh niceee =) u just gave me an inspiration for what to wear on tonight's dinner ^^, i was so confused chosing between flat shoes or heels to go with black dress.

Since you've shown the look with flat shoes then ill go with it =)

Target, K-Mart and other chain stores all have hidden treasures which are astonishingly well-made.

Those H&M scarves have breed and now every second person is wearing a similar one. This indicates an epidemic...argh

I'm impressed that you found those gloves at H&M. I could have sworn they were designer! Fantastic layers!
