Pearls mean tears....

I'm reading 'The Inimitable Jeeves' an old Penguin classic by P.G.Wodehouse at the moment and Pearls means Tears is the title of chapter 4. I liked it.

That first picture is beautiful: it has a sort of ethereal, haunted quality. It's actually given me a bit of a shiver...

I hope your pearls don't make you cry :"( Only the maids should be weeping.

You look absolutely gorgeous in the second picture. Classy as always.

Also I find it so rad that you pull off lace gloves...they are so elegant and feminine.

Amazing

My hubby read some Wodehouse a few years back and ADORED it. I've never heard the phrase "pearls mean tears," but these images you've created evoke that kind of nostalgia and quiet sorrow.

Which is not to say that you don't look stunning, as always, of course. ;)

Lovely pictures in which you look lovely, by the way. Are you going to Australian Fashion Week?

That is a beautiful title...I seem to recall a tragic fable that centered around a pearl...can't remember the title now.

There is something so cinematic, poetic about these shots. You were obviously quite inspired by this book..
Just beautiful!

I love these shots LM. Very creative.

At first I thought the title of your post meant that something had happened to your beloved pearls! I was most relieved to see that they are still intact.

These shots remind me of a flickering black and white slide show. So evocative.

The first image brings many thoughts to my mind, it kind of makes you think deeply.. I know I don't make sense hehe but it's a beautiful photo nonetheless! I want those gloves! x

Wodehouse is AWESOME. I have most of his Jeeves and Wooster books, and have watched the british TV adaptation with Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry. Hmm... maybe time for a reread... :)

you look lovely as usual!

that really is the true meaning of pearls. That's also why (if you're superstitious), you're not suppose to wear pearls on your wedding day as apparently your marriage will be doomed with plenty of tears...

It's a beautiful saying but sadly gloomy as well.
