Savour this..........

I have neglected to mention on the blog that I gave up op-shopping for about 2 weeks. Just to see if I could really, because Mother Melbourne firmly believed that I was addicted and had Granny Dresses Anonymous on speed dial.
Anyhow, today was my first trip out with a fist full of cash and a will to spend it. Actually that just sounded good, I gave myself a $20 limit, again just to see if I could manage it.
Anyhow, I picked up this dress, a couple of belts and the record for $25, all from Savers. Biggest find was the Moschino belt, it's been on my 'Items to find in an op-shop before I die' list for a while now. It was $7.

Dress: Savers
Belts: Savers
Earl Grant Record: Savers
Bag: Hong Kong
Bracelet: I made it

WOW can not believe you found the moschino belt at an op shop! That's crazy!!! I was going to buy a vintage one in Japan but it would have cost me $120 so I didn't. I LOVE it on you.

I have to go against the tide here: I hate the Moshino belt :( I just really can't stand 99% of the stuff they churn out. I'm sorry Lady M.

That said, I love the reptile belt and the the bag is gorgeous.

What finds! I always have loads of fun giving myself a spending limit and seeing what goodies and treasures I can find. That belt certainly ranks up there as one of the best hauls! :)

It's actually kind of fun to work within spending constraints, don't you think? And it was well worth tipping over to $25 for that belt. Yowza!

Damn it! I totally want that belt. I'm so green right now you could mistake me for a pea. Oh sigh. Lucky!

You're funny.

I took a break two weeks ago too, well not really. I did buy a bracelet but it wasn't clothes.

I know your bag is about the only thing in your outfit which ISN'T from Savers but I love it. I have had a thing for grey bags with gold hardware for a very long time... oddly I still don't own one yet..

I don't mean to be picky well actually I kind of do. Your entire blog appears to beckon to fashion mags with a please, please pick me. There are countless bloggers featured in high and low fashion glossies and you appear desperate to be one of them. Look you are not unique. You are doing what countless others have already done. You offer brilliant photography but your commentary is woeful. Maybe you might find luck if you used a commentary which is expressive, descriptive, brief, and useful. As I wrote, you are treading on ground stylistically which has already been trod on. So lift your commentary. Not too long, as your readers will just skip over it should it be more than two paragraphs. Your blog is just old and tired as it currently is.

Apologies if I was a little harsh in the previous post. You just have alter your packaging. What's the point of going to all this work if you do not get a good sale? Your skill in the fine arts area is superb, now bring the rest up to scratch and get yourself known :)

Wow, the other day I just saw a Moschino dress in a thrift store and didn't buy it because it wasn't that great, and I kept wishing it had been that belt instead!! So great! :)
