Goodbye my heart....

I can't remember where exactly I first saw the inspiration for this jumper, in 'Frankie' perhaps. There is a British label, LauraLaura, that produces hand stitched sayings onto second hand jumpers- brilliant.
I would shop up a storm on their website but the Aussie dollar isn't worth the plastic it's printed on at the moment so I found myself wanting a jumper but it being a little out of my reach.

His Lordship decided this jumper was going to charity because of a tiny hole on the shoulder(easily darned but he wasn't interested in such domestic matters) so I quickly appropriated it into my wardrobe and embroidered it myself.

'Adieu mon Coeur' is an Edith Piaf song, any Piaf fans out there?

That jumper is fabulous! I wish I could do that to a jumper, but alas, I have stupid fingers...

I saw the jumpers your talking about awhile back online and thought they were really cute alas I cant wear anything that sits to high or I look like its strangling so I gave them no more thought but you look gorgeous in it!

Fantastic DIY skills! Definitely solved that horrible exchange rate problem. The jumper is very Frankie - sweet, light and nice. And so comfy looking.

The NZ dollar is horrible too. I've been relegated to buying Amazon books because clothing is just way out of my league at the moment.

OMG I LOVE. I have a jumper just like this and I could give this a go but I don't think my attempt would be anywhere near as good as yours :(

Clever girl!

That looks so lovely Lady M, I'm almost inspired to rush out and do it myself, although knowing me I'd wind up stitching in something rude and silly...

The jumper is totally cool! I want one like that, it would be perfect for the summer here, lol. Oh, and I love your 'lady Melbourne TV' on youtube, especially the ones on vintage shopping tips, it's a shame that I didn't know about these shops when I was in Melbourne, but definitely going to visit them next time.

Ohhh I had lots of reading and beautiful photos to catch up on! ;)

Beautiful sweater in so many ways -that it's a (true!) boyfriend sweater, you diy-ed it and I adore the tragic/romantic quote <3 Reminds me of Miss Kate Moss too...

I think you'd look fab in it with some black leggings and your Dior Extremesque looking gladiator heels!
