Well, thank you all for your kind comments on my nails, perhaps next time I do them I'll video it and do a little tutorial. I promise you that it's really quite simple!
Not that this is fashion related, but I was curious to know about your favourite scent.
Mine is cinnamon, I was reading today that the Roman Emperor Nero burnt a years supply of it at his wife's funeral. What a homage.
I like honey as well, and naturally honey and cinnamon combined is just heavenly to me. The reason I ask is that I'm researching for an article I'm writing on fashion and psychology: why we wear the clothes we do. I'm planning on making it two part, the second being about beauty and scent. I think it's really interesting how we are all attracted to different smells and scents, and why.
Anyhow, your thoughts are as always most appreciated!

My favorite scents together are actually milk and honey - I find them so calming and sweet.
I don't also mind vanilla - but natural vanilla, not the artificial type you put in your car. I think that is because it reminds me of vanilla milkshakes on holidays.
Wild strawberries. They smell so heavenly, so much better than normal strawberries (even though they smell divine too!). The smell remind me of my childhood, summer and my mum :)
I love the smell of vanilla, jasmine and garden roses - not necessarily all together though!
Cinnamon is actually my favorite spice, and honey is my favorite sweetner... the two smell rather nice as well! As for my favorite scent, lavender and honey is a heavenly combination--I love how calming they are together.
Peppermint... I absolutely love it, I'm all over my boyfriend after he brushes his teeth. Also, Clementine's, and jasmine are beautiful.
Ginger and Cinnamon
Rose water & the ocean. Obsessed with both and find them so calming.

I am totally in love with this blog !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love your style xxxxxxx Love from London xxxxxxxxxxxx you rock Lady M
I love the Miel & Citron bottle! Absolutely lovely with the honeycomb faceting on the glass.
My favourite combined scents are rosewater & watermelon, and also jasmine & sweet pea (Ecoya also makes beautiful candles in this fragrance - http://www.ecoya.com.au/#sweet-madness).
By the by, wherever did you get that lovely lavender cardigan from the previous post?
Sandalwood. My man puts a drop of this essential oil on each of his wrists, and it is the softest, sexiest scent imaginable. I’m actually allergic to most perfumes – they make me sneeze profusely – so I don’t wear any. But I do agree with Flit About: wild strawberries smell divine!
Love your dress today too btw!
I love honey and cinnamon too, but also vanilla, mint, rose and fresh cut lavender (but, strangely, not lavender oil). I wonder if it means anything that my favourite scents are all edible.
After only drinking Lipton's in the staff room for a while, I recently purchased some Earl Grey tea and fell in love with it all over again, not the least for its scent... it's definitely one of my favourites!
Depends on my mood. Sometimes I'm a lemongrass girl, crisp, clean, fresh. Other times it's the earthy tone of sandalwood. Though sometimes it's that smell just after it's rained, it makes you feel 'right', for want of a better word.
That grey dress looks infinitely touchable! I can't decide whether it's a very thin velvet or one of those oily suedes?
Pink grapefruit. All my perfumes have major pink grapefruit notes - Marc Jacobs Grapefruit (naturally), CK In2u, and Cacharel's Scarlett. I also use pink grapefruit body wash. Amazing.
My favourite scents have changed over time. I think that would be a good point of your article because I'm sure lots of other people are the same - we 'mature' into certain fragrances.
When I was younger I liked light things like citrus - but lately I've found a love for vanilla (not so much in perfume though). I've ALWAYS loved cinnamon and white flowers. Actually, my favourites of all would be lillies...I think they have a deep childhood connection for me. Along with hyacinth, violet and lily of the valley.
Interestingly I've never been drawn to sweet fruits like strawberry or grapefruit or the heavy chypres and musks in a lot more mature perfumes but that again may change with time!
I have just had a wardrobe overhaul this week to the scent of Vanilla
Take a look

I love the oranges - fruit and scent - and the smell of fresh grass when it rains.
Like Fourth Daughter, my favourite scent is Earl Grey, which is tea with a heavy Bergamot base. I love colognes with a Bergamot base, like B*Men.
Flower-wise, it has always been and always will be Jonquils. I'd plant banks of them to roll about in if I could.
Can't wait to read the article darling.

Vanilla, vanilla, vanilla. I fear this may mean dowdy in the fashion sense, but I could live on it. :)
Lovely and romantic look. I adore your shoes!
I love Gardenia, Mandarin and Tuberose.
I find these scents so fresh and light.
Anything heavier tends to give me a headache.
Apparently my grandmother (who I never met) always used to wear Gardenia aswell.
Vanilla. Tropical flowers.
I also adore vanilla and anise combined.......
Tuberose - I am half Indian and it reminds me of attending Indian weddings as a child. The celebration, the new beginnings, the hope and family.
Also Lemongrass and Ginger - so calming and makes a great tea!
Like so many people have said above, vanilla. I'll wear vanilla any time of year, but then I have other scents I prefer according to season ... I love light floral ones in spring and summer, but I associate winter and autumn with cinnamon and 'oriental' scents.
I love Bergamot, I think it has something to do with happiness or peace or something? Also I've grown up with Lavender. But one of my very favourites has to be Jasmine. I'm new to this blog, I love it! Thanks for the lovely pictures and posts I can read!

Hi Phoebe! I personally love iris and lime. If you like cinnamon and honey, here are some perfumes I think you will enjoy: Tea for Two by L'Artisan Parfumeur, Ambre Russe by Parfum D'Empire and Five O'Clock Au Gingembre by Serge Lutens. I'm interested to know more about your scent and beauty article so do keep us in the loop.

I adore coconut! My fave perfumes are Azuree Soleil - the limited edition one Tom Ford did for Estee Lauder in 2008...I stocked up then and have taken good care of surplus, so I am still using it. Its a gorgeous light scent I wear every day. Cocnut is my signature scent, everyone now knows me by it.
Also "G" from Gwen Stefani's Harajuku Lovers Range. This one is a bit of a heavier fragrance, so I use it only at night.
More generally speaking, I only like food type scents. Anything floral, or the like often give me a headache, or nausea. So on that note, I agree Cinnamon and Honey are both divine!
I ended up hunting down these shoes at Brisbane DFO...only $20! a bargain!
