Did you miss me?

Well dear readers, it's been at least five days since I've graced these pages, I hope you are still out there and visiting!
To make up for the absence I thought I'd share this lovely outfit with you. For regular readers you'll know I recently stumbled upon a lovely vintage petticoat at a local Melbourne flea market.
Not being able to resist the frou frou nature of the skirt I bought it and took it home where it has been residing in my cupboard longing to be worn. I just wasn't sure how to wear it without looking a/ like a 6 year old, b/ like a 20 something tragic trying to look like a 6 year old, c/ Carrie Bradshaw. And I adore SATC don't fret, just given the hype surrounding the movie I have been a little reluctant to go out in public wearing it.
I digress, the most obvious solution was to wear it under something, but I felt it had to be something special so what better option than another item that has been a little lonely in my wardrobe since I wore it as a bridesmaid 6 months ago.
I think it's just a perfect match, don't you agree?
No my shoes aren't Miu Miu(sigh........) they are from Urban Original in the US, you can find them here or on eBay.

Oh, such a wonderful outfit! The petticoat looks just as if was made for the dress and you manage to keep the whole outfit together, so that you don't end up looking like a 6-years-old, or someone desperately willingto look like a one.

I was worried! But then I thought if you did go missing I could turn those Agathe tee's inside out and reprint 'Where is Lady Melbourne?'...win-win!

Oh my gosh, I'm am literally sitting here and drooling all over my keyboard. That first picture is utter perfection. The pinks look fabulous together and then the blazer brings the whole look down to earth doesn't it? Beautiful!

Lovely shoes, they remind me of a pair I had once that I referred to as my 'sitting down' shoes. A very sophisticated ensemble for the skirt.

I was about to write some thing witty and sharp and then I read Imeldas comment and lost it. That was very funny. I couldnt deal with it if we lost you and Agathe. 2 of the greats. xf

You look so pretty and not like a child at all! I'm a bit jealous: this petticoat dress makes me sigh a lot.

And good to have you back, dear!

yatta! I was hoping you'd bring out your petticoat. If I had it my way, I'd make you wear it every day.
I realise I'm verging on bordeline creepy but its so pretty! I love your shoes, I think I saw a pair of flats just like that in Myer.

A Dreamer you're not alone, most of my friends think I should stick to crinolines no matter what the occasion.
Imelda your business savvy never ceases to amaze me.
If you have any other ideas of how to wear it keep them coming.LM

I know I'm late with this post, but it's Saturday and I'm visiting my blogging sweeties. That outfit is absolutely gorgeous in every sense of the word. Feminine, sophisticated, flirtatious and every other word that insinuates beautiful. It's Magni-licious (Magnificent and Delicious at once).

Ciao my beautiful Bella!

After posting this latest comment I realized I had already commented on the look. No matter, it's still beautiful and worth a second look.
