Love affair

So you know what they say, no better way to get over something than to throw yourself in the deep end.....who would have thought I would actually reach for a bright red dress as first choice for something to wear?
I think my little experiment of wearing colour for a week may have just started a new passion for me. For the colour red I think, but at least it's a burst of color!

Dress: Still on loan from Miss. Sian Darling

Shoes: eBay

Petticoat: Coburg Trash and Treasure

Aligator clutch: Vintage

Trench: Zara

Oh... That is such a pretty outfit. I was having a lazy morning and was going not bother too much what I throw on, but your pictures shame me into caring a little more.

How is it possible that you make sitting on a couch look so utterly glamorous. That outfit is striking, red is DEFINITELY your color.

I hope my self portraits turn out half as elegant as yours.

Magni-licious!

Yay! Red is such a great colour though. Very 'passionate'. Colours always tend to have personalities for me. That petticoat is gorgeous, as are the shoes.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who is very specific about colour.

Very pretty. You remind me of an old movie star poster. Really love the shoes as well. Yay for colour!

Oh my god - your hair... wonderful!
If given the option, I would seriously consider killing someone just to have your hair (well, not really, but I'd definitely stop and think about it for just one moment). It must be amazing to be able to walk around with amazingly perfect hair. I can't even imagine what that feels like...

As for the outfit... what can I say...? The red and pink look gorgeous together, and the shoes just top it all off brilliantly. Well done!

Thanks so much for stopping by. You're right about the shoes, they are kind of strange which is why I picked them.

But from what I've seen of you and your penchant for style, me Lady, I don't really think there's anything you can't pull off. I'm sure you could pair that shoe up with an outfit that would be a veritable masterpiece of elegance.

Love and kisses.

Thanks for the comments guys, seriously the hair was so easy. I just back combed a bunch at the top, pinned it and then put the rest up in a pony tail. I guess it helps that I have dead straight hair that behaves itself?!

As for the petticoat, you can find them, as always with vintage shopping you just have to have the patience. Or there is always eBay!

And regarding my pictures- I don't have a photographer, just me and my tripod. Getting a tripod has really improved things, so if you don't have anyone to take photos for you then I highly suggest you go out and get yourself one.

There are no words for how much I love this look. That first picture is particular perfection. Frothy, cheeky, classy and sassy all at the same time. (okay, maybe I found a few words).

I love the petticoat. I would love to make one like it. Could you post some close ups of the hem (I love the look but can't quite figure it out) and tell me how many layers is has. It would be a great favor.

I also really like the coats you wear.
