Mills & Swoon....

Cruising through my local op shop yesterday I came across a pile of Mills & Boon novels for sale and the titles and covers were so camp you couldn't possibly not buy them.
I spent today reading through 'Difficult Decision,' and am looking forward to 'A Treacherous Seduction' next.
I bought this dress last year, and it has never had an outing. I almost gave it away but was spurred on by some Spring sunshine yesterday to keep it. I figured there was no time like fashion week to try it out. I call it my kaleidoscope dress.

Anyhow, I trust you all had a good weekend?

That dress is amazing. I went through a total Mills and Boon faze a few years ago after I found a huge pile of them in the secretaries cupboard at my old job (it was my first job actually, and it was really bizarre and old school, they were Architects and they had no computers, everything was done by hand, and for me the poor secretary I had to use a type writer! This was about 5 years ago by the way, not 20! The whole office was decked out in the original 1960's fittings and the owner wore 60's suits (he was also in his late 60's) it was so much fun to dress up for work for that job, I would go all out miss mod. I don't miss the pay though it was $12.55 an hour which apparently was legal because I was 19) Ok so that was a long story, sorry.

LOL...it's camp that you're ready a Mills and Boon. For some real skirt lifting reading material hows about I bring you my vintage Jackie Collins collection?

My mum wrote a Mills & Boon in the mid-80s so we had boxes and boxes of Mills & Boons around the house for research purposes. I must have read about a bazillion of them, mostly I remember the hilariously awful things the characters wore.

PS. Love those shoes particularly!

I went through a huge Mills & Boon phase: I have so many on my bookshelves now. I have a 'signed' Fabio one called 'The Pirate', and a really creepy X-rated one I found in a Salvos called 'A man and a maid.'

That dress is simply stunning m'lady.

You find the most amazing dresses at Savers, I don't know how do you do it!

I love your dress - it's such a stunning colour!

I went wild for Mills and Boon when I was around 13. I think my sister got 5 free books for some book club promotion. Trashy novels are a great guilty pleasure :D

Those books are such a good laugh! You look wonderful in blue. I think if you're going to splash out as far as colours go, it should be the colour of choice.

That blue is an amazing colour on you - its a good thing you didn't get rid of it with spring officially here :)
