Yesterday I found a new selection of books so me, Mills and Boon spent some time on the couch today getting to know each other along with an entire block of chocolate from Ikea. I don't know whether they put crack in that stuff but you literally can't stop eating it.
Mother Melbourne is not at all impressed by my choice of (ahem) literature, proclaiming that she did not pay for a university education so that Lady M can squander it on pulp fiction.
'But it's.....entertaining?'
Nope, didn't wash. Sorry Mama!
I'd like to welcome these to my wardrobe as well, the tag says 'Nitelites,' sort of reminds me of a blue light disco from the 1980's.
I mentioned the other day that I picked up $480 worth of shoes for $99 and behold the precious sight of them!
David Jones are having a sale so for anyone in Australia, it's definitely worth a look if you like shoes, and you like bargains.
Dress: Vintage(dare I say it!) from eBay
'Nitelites' heels: Vintage, a gift from a friend
Jewellery: Chanel pendant, the rest I made
Ballet flats: Jadd, on sale at DJ's, go forth and shop. Quickly!

The Mills and Boon covers look delightful! I'd love to have a couple of them on my coffee table.
And don't get me started on the Nitelites, they're so wonderful!
I think its funny that ikea even makes chocolate. I reckon their catalogues are addictive. :) I never stop pouring over the furniture and wishing i owned it. gotta love the swedish.
cute flats!
I love the chocolates from ikea - the selection of herrings is good too... but the thing I don't get is that they are all seasoned sweet!? Maybe the Swede's are sick of salty?
The flats are too cute... will stop by DJs in my lunch break tomorrow - thanks for the tip.
I started to write a Mills & Boon once, but then I found out that they only publish ones written by women apparently. Maybe that can be my post-honours treat? I'll write a Mills & Boon over the holidays. Then I can have a competition to come up with a title and a pseudonym!
Loving those flats, and also your wonderfully extravagant baubles!
Xx
LM, you tease me with all your Chanel!
I love the cakes that Ikea have in the cafeteria mmmm yum;)
I've got to get myself to checkout DJ sometime this week! x
Love the leopard flats!
Everybody's got to read a dime-store romance novel once in awhile!
I love those perfed flats! Very cute.
Those are some seriously chunky pearls, girl.
Youu look so chic and comfy in the same time! I'd also like to chill at home, eating chocolate in nice jewellery, true old school glamour style :)
Is it the Marabou chocolate btw? The mint-crisp one?
u find the best things on ebay!
i love thsi dress!
I saw the most Lady Melbourne dress in my local expensive oppy yesterday. Cream wool Ewaldo Bock shift with puff sleeves and black satin ribbon woven through one of the sleeves. If it had been the cheap oppy I would have bought and sent it.
Those flats look perfect, do they make toe cleavage because I love flats which do that (that's sounds a bit foot fetishy, but I mean I love it on me!)
Great books – it looks like a lovely way to spend and afternoon! :)
I studied in Melbourne for six months and miss it so! Your blog is Lovely and Very soothing. Fantastic style! :)
Those shoes are just gorgeous, I really love the animal print ones. Very chic.
I miss my Mills & Boon books, I inherited them all from my grandmother but they're packed away somewhere :(
So for all y'all who love Lady M's flats - I went into Burke St DJs this morning to track them down (and snagged me 2 pairs for $70...cha ching!) For the record, though they seem to say "Jadd" on the insole, the brand is actually called PepperRed (weirdly enough). So if you're on the lookout for them, that's what they're called! I bought them in gold and a pair of awesome metallic black suede peep-toe wedges! Score!
Love those shoes and your necklaces are stunning. The perfect outfit to play ladies in while reading your M & B's.
I used to read Mills and Boon all the time, they are so easy to get caught up in. The bows on your shoes are too delicious for words.
Love that you read Mills and Boon...you might just have inspired me to track some down.
Lovely pedi too! xxx
what I love so much in pulp fiction is the covers. Love your "Nitelites" pumps, just perfect to read pulp!
Sounds like a perfect way to spend an afternoon...chocolate and pulp fiction...yes! Love the peep toes with the bow, very cute indeed!
Those ballet flats are so gorgeous. I would like a pair. ^_^
Ah, chocolate. I haven't had the Ikea brand, but there are so many kinds that I find all kinds of addictive!
Love the flats, especially the leopard ones!
Great dress.
Anything with bows and i'm sold! I love all of them.
I really like flats that are low cut so you get a bit of toe-cleavage!!
Mmm.. you are sabotaging my diet Ms Melbourne!
What a gorgeous afternoon! Mama Smaggle is similar with her literature dismay. I'm still inclined to read a Babysitter's Club book every now and then.
