i am gobsmacked!!!! that looked amazing!
firstly - everything was so cheap! nothing is that cheap in london!
secondly - where was everybody?!?! i'm so used to getting the elbows out to fight for a bargain!
i think the closest we have to that is charity shops but all the people that work in vintage shops go and buy up all the good stuff to sell for more in their shops!
right thats it. i am officially moving to melbourne!
fantastic episode, i so enjoy watching your little shows! xxx

that was brilliant/enjoyable! thank you, lady melbourne :)
may i ask which suburb that store was in (my local salvos is teensy compared to that)?

Welcome Home! I adored watching your latest edition of LMTV. Why hasn't someone given you a job on Postcards or Getaway yet?

A great episode. An op shopper after my own heart. I passed on two $4 pairs of Salvatore Ferragamos that fit me in an op shop earlier this year. The buckles were a little tarnished and I was trying to kick the addiction of op shopping so I passed. Boo hoo. I did find, from same store a Gucci (genuine) horsebit tote for $10. Bought that. Only time I've squeaked at an op shop find and had heart palpitations.

This is so enjoyable, LM. Keep it up!

I thoroughly enjoyed that.
I have never been in the slavos before and was pleasantly suprised. I loved that 70's jacket (black and white) and those boudoir slippers.
I will have to go and look at that salvos when I'm in Melbourne :)

* salvos not slavos hahaha

It has made me want to go op-shopping RIGHT NOW, at 8.15pm! I'll have to wait till Satdee...:)

And welcome back to Melbs!

ps I want that bag! And the shoes!

Wow your local Salvos is HUGE. I have a St.Vinnies and a Salvos close to home, but they are easily about 1/5th of the size!
I've never found so many great things on one trip, well done!

:( reminds me of all the good bargains to be had in melburn.
i hate beyond retro and it's ilk for taking away these amazing clothes and whacking on a 'vintage tax' utter bastards!
i was thinking about the giant savers in frankston that my friends and i used to do a road trip to go to, only the other day :(

Oh Lady M, I just love you to bits! I love that you kept your cool while someone was hacking up a lung in the background, I love that you referenced my dream of finding authentic Louis Vuitton in an op-shop, and I love LADY M TV.

I was craving a trip to my local thrift store today but the downpour outside kept me away. Now I'm regretting my decision! For the moment, I'll live vicariously through your wonderful video.

Lady Melbourne you are fantastic and I love watching Lady M TV.
It looks like you were in Brunswick Salvos, which is also my local salvos - maybe I'm wrong.
I can't wait to see the next TV Show :)

I'm glad you mentioned The Dress Company. I've often seen that label in many of the pieces I've come across second hand. I also own a dress (which i transformed into a shirt) from that brand with the most exquisite fabric.
