Thank you for all your well-wishes, I am feeling much better now.
I posted about these jeans a little while back, I bought them because they reminded me of my childhood and what Mother Melbourne might have worn when I was little Lady Melbourne.

The camera caught me putting on my Chanel pendant but I thought the picture was cute- I am a huge Coco Chanel fan but I definitely don't subscribe to her thought that one should take one item off before leaving the house. I like looking like a Christmas tree.

It's an ironic comment in my opinion, because if you've seen pictures of Coco Chanel she has accessories hanging off her wrists, earrings, neck with brooches and hats thrown in to boot. I'm not sure exactly what she meant when she suggested you take one thing off!
Jeans: Second hand Faberge
Shirt: Shag
Cuff: Chanel
Coin Bracelet: I made it from a belt
Pendant: Chanel

I adore that Chanel bangle! ahhhhh
I am a minimalist in what I wear, and by that comment you would think she was too. But photos suggest otherwise (as you said) haha Maybe that rule applied just to her, because she would literally look like a Christmas tree.
You always look perfect, you wear just the right amount of accessories. I hardly wear any, but that's just because I don't know how!

oh i'm so glad you mentioned that! i always wondered what Chanel meant by that saying. i also agree that i love looking like a christmas tree!!! i always see Chanel decked in necklaces, earrings, and bracelets so i also am not quite understood by her staying... i'm very glad you mentioned it :)
i love your Chanel cuff & pendant thou, as well as your ruffled top. lovely ^^

Hah! I'd never thought of that. Just imagine what Coco would've looked like if she HADN'T taken one item off before heading out. A Christmas tree-and-a-half!

Your sentiments about this much-quoted quote made me laugh. I agree. The more bling for me the better. It always did confuse me.

I can't even begin to imagine what Coco looked like BEFORE she removed her accessory before leaving the house -- or maybe she just wanted to be the only Christmas tree out there!
Beautiful blouse! x

I am a strict minimalist and I can't imagine baubling up like a Christmas tree. I think that too much accessories make me look like a gypsy. Not a good look on me anyway!
