Night Call

It was the shortest day of the year today, or perhaps it was yesterday. Hhhhmmm...
'Big deal Lady Melbourne!' you might be saying, however the days being so short means it is impossible some days to photograph in the sunlight so photos taken after dark are essential.

I picked up this lovely lady at my local Salvo's store for $25 as is. It's in the original frame and has a nice little faded tag on the back saying the title( Miss. Hong Kong) and the artist(simply, 'Bial').

I absolutely love it!

The painting is an amazing find. In the Sunday Age or Sunday Herald Sun (I forget) there was a girl showcasing her style who looked just like you. I had to do a double take.

Yeah, I hate using flash, I usually always take photos at the same time.

That painting is lovely, a cross between a classic and a pop art peice.

Love the shoes!

I've seen that painting else where for quite an extreme sum. Maybe you should look into that: You may have stumbled upon a very sizeable windfall ;D

Liking the Noirish look to these pics - the pearls and the dress are a little Audrey; but the lighting changes the tone and makes everything delectable.

My dear friend LM!

You are the most classy woman I know! I miss so much here lately, I am sorry. However, I saw all your old posts ;)

I love this necklace so much! I also love all your outfits and the projects you have been doing :)

I did remember you in my last outfit post...that outfit is so you!

My best wishes for the day!

I'm no expert but your dress reminds me of the Chinese style of cheongsam dress.

The painting is gorgeous.

Hello Lady Melbourne!

I walked past you at Sth Yarra station yesterday evening and the funny thing was, I recognised those Primark pearls you wear and I thought "hey that girl's wearing a necklace like Lady Melbourne's" and then I actually looked at her face and in fact it was Lady Melbourne.

So there you go: it's a very distinctive accessory!

Oh, my Lady! My daddy brought that very painting home one day when I was very young. Oh, wow, does that bring back memories!

I hung in our home throughout my childhood.

You look stunning. So befitting with such a work of art.
