When the temperature just won't quit...

Last night it didn't get below 30 degrees in Melbourne, that's 86 F! Following on from ice-cream on the lawns of the State Library last night I thought I might work outside this morning, but alas I was too hot within about 5 minutes.

This is one of my dresses from Singapore, it needs some altering though, it's a little big around the waist so until that happens you'll see me sitting in it rather than standing!!

The 2threads Fashion Awards are on and this year I've been nominated. This is the first award nomination within Australia funnily enough so if you feel inclined the voting panel is to your right, or below.

I hope you aren't melting away Melbourne!

p.s- those are Peonies as someone asked the other day, I bought them at Flinders St station at the florist on the steps for $8.50.

Peonies are my favourite.

thanks for the tip about the flinders st florist.
i went there about 6 months ago but forgot about it. the flowers i get from my usual florist keep having bugs/insects/centipedes in them lately. eeeek!!

Yes, it's getting really ridiculous weather-wise. I now think I'm going to have to invest in a sturdy air-con system.

Loving the dress and the Peonies! Lovely!

You are so beautiful wearing that dress. It does not look like that dress is big on you. Frankly speaking, you are so sexy with that dress even if you are just sitting.

Hi! I've read your blog for a long time and I really love it. Next year I'll be moving from Sweden to Australia, do you have any tips for me style wise? Again, thanks for the inspiration I find here!

Love your dress, the colour is gorgeous. It's still far too chilly here in Auckland, let's swap, we'll have some of your heat and you have have some of our cool air !

I know that florist! I brought some lupin-like flowers (maybe they were lupins) there when I was last in Melbourne as a gift for my aunt.

Wow, gorgeous dress!

Sadly, I am freezing to death instead of melting.
