Thank you LM, was great to hear your thoughts and experiences. May I ask, I know it can be disheartening when you put a lot of time into blogging, but the analytics don't reflect the time and energy, what motivated you to keep going when readership was low? And was their one place in particular that gave your blog great exposure?
Thank you, that was very helpful, I love blogging and can't get enough of it so posting isn't a problem right now but I know there is going to be times when I am not inspired or too busy so I keep back up posts for then. Your nails still look fab BTW! :)
Thanks Lady M for another great post, so helpful and informative for a blogger just starting out. For the moment I'm enjoying the blogging virtual world, gives me a distraction between domestic duties and work.
Refreshing to hear a lovely Australian accent in comparison to the commentators for the Winter Olympics who seem to be SHOUTING and screaming at us, sorry went off on a tangent there...
What a fantastic vlog. I love that you got excited about 5 visitors. I think we often forget that whether it's blogging, print media, tv etc everyone starts out in the same place. I would have to say that your honesty and genuineness are undoubtedly part of your success as well.
love lm tv! you know what i love most about lm? you're not what i call 'fashion-world pretentious'. you're real - not a fashion-world skinny mini, massively expensive clothing rack. you shop at diva and the op shop! i'm sorry to point out to you that it is evident you have bad hair days occasionally and vertical venetian blinds in your lounge :s - you aren't perfect! thank you so much!!! show me (and the fashion-world) more 'imperfect, but giving life a damn good go' lm!
This was very interesting. I have a question though, I understand that you are doing blogging full time and I was just wondering if you are seeing any payoffs financially? You have a very large following and I'm sure stat-wise you get a lot of hits but I don't see any advertisments or sponsers in your side bar like some of the other bigger blogs out there.
I'm curious as to if you are actually able to use your blog as a direct source of income yet, and if so, where is it coming from if there aren't any advertisers? Or is it more the writing opportunities that have come from your blog exposure?
Hope that wasn't too prying, it's just something I've always wondered. Some blogs do have paid advertising and it's very visible but then other blogs who are still quite successful in their own right don't. Is it a personal preference or something that you might consider doing in the future?
Hi LM, I'm a new blogger and your reader for a year. Thanks for such useful words that I'll definitely take on board! I must say you're inspiring!!! Happy Friday!!! Sol
So refreshing to know someone is willing to share all their secrets to help others. What a great post LM, congrats. It took me 3 years to get the courage to start millafoxshops.blogspot.com and to keep it going. I keep having to remind myself I'm doing this for me because I love it. I get excited when I get 1 reply LOL! Have a great day. MFxx
As a blogger who has resigned herself to the fact that recognition cannot be my blogging aim, I found this video fascinating. I wrote a post on it on my own blog, and for now the video is embedded on my post. I have made it very clear that it is YOUR video. Please let me know, though, if you would like me to take it down.
Merci beaucoup Lady M. I am loving the inspiration that I am finding as a new comer to your glorious city. I have used your blogging advice already to further clarify to myself, and of course my audience, what it is that I am doing with Harriette for the dreamers. Thank you

Hi Phoebe, just wanted to say how helpful our found your vlog! Feel like it was the rope thrown out to a life raft actually...have had a blog (that is in cahoots with my website) for about 18 months or so and have been a VERY sporadic poster! Listening to your advice I can see what a disadvantage that is to my presence in the blogosphere! I am determined to be more engaged in it and more faithful to my followers (of which I only have 4 let me just say!) Thank you so much for taking the time to post about this topic! Nicolexx

Loved this post Phoebe! It was really helpful :) I agree with the above poster, what motivated you to be consistent when your stats were lower?
