I would like to see Lady Melbourne wearing.....

Dear Lady Melbourne,
I love the way you put your outfits together from opp shops and create great fashion trends. I would love to see you do something more outrageous something different to what you normally do like for example do a whole week with you just in hair and makeup or dress up in street wear. Something less girly maybe…
Love Miche

So guys, I'm throwing this over to you, the weekend should give me enough time to prepare depending on what you come up with, but what would you like to see me do for a whole week? Or lets say five days just to give me a starting chance in case y'all have got something wild in mind!

Hippie/boho, because I don't think it's very 'you' (coming from someone who doesn't know you), and I hate it and think you could have the power to make me like it..

It's also good weather for it, in-between.

Good luck with whatever you tackle. I'd never do it!

I agree with Natalie.
However, bringing freshness onto a page is positive, but this change I feel a little bit radical, which could change your clear and safe image unnecessarily.

Oh, Natalie- ha ha, no we don't know each other but boho terrifies me!! That is a huge challenge, I'm not even sure where I'd begin...but you never know!

Silverbeige- even for 5 days?!? I'm worried now!!

okay here is something that could be quite interesting....

lately i have really been really fascinated by the monochromatic look. my favourite bloggers like zana from garbage dress and suzie bubble really rock the mono-colour scheme!

being amongst my favourite bloggers i challenge you to do 5 days of monochromatic, like shades of blue, pink, grey (wow for grey!), beige (if you are daring enough) and one for the super challenge: purple!

i have faith in your LM!

Hah, I thought that may be the case - call it intuition?

If you tackle it I will be so impressed. I wouldn't do it, not even for money. Just couldn't.

Hi:)
Do the hippie style...
Personally i love it...but if you do...is another thing?
Have a smashing day, SP

Hallo LM, I was just afraid that this change would be a new session in your blogging practice. However I am not a regular commenter, I love your concept and solid, clear photos.

I vote for boho too. I think it is a huge challenge to get it right and not look like a bag lady on meth. If anyone could make it work I think it would be you.

Hmmm... rockstar...!
With wild bedhair and grr attitude. You've already got studded accessories and leather and you've tried out the black eye make-up... :)

Having said that...your fans are your fans because they like your 'look'.

i love the boho or monochromatic ideas, but monochromatic with a rocker edge!

This was my suggestion - I don't think it will change Lady Melbourne's overall look as a blogger but give her readers something different to see. All her outfits and trends are gorgeous and I am sure non of us want her to change - it's just a small challenge for her. Nothing set in concrete. It will be something fun for all.

Dear LM
I saw a photo from London Fashion week of a model with a polka dot blouse, man's tie and pants with braces. Sounds odd, but looked great. I can no longer find the link though. But perhaps a week of wearing pants/man style stuff (think Carrie in SATC when she wore that blue 70's vintage man suit)? If done well, it can look very cool. Good luck! Maria, Vintage Suburbia x

Hi Lady Melbourne

I think that it would be really cool to see you in sassy and edgy urban/streetwear. Maybe the next level up from you Happy Friday post on 5.2.10.

I really liked this look on you.

Hi LM, I tackled something like this recently and had an 'Avant Garde' week, not quite Lady ga ga but just mixing my wardrobe up a bit, mixing prints, colours and looks I had never worn before.
Here's how I went
http://sleekitone.blogspot.com/2010/02/sleekit-goes-avant-garde-part-3.html
I got great feedback so you could try it out and also means anything goes so not pigeon holing yourself into a specific category.
Look forward to seeing how you go

cheers

Because you're so feminine already, I think you should wear outfits that pay homage to the late Lee Alexander McQueen

How about chic cycle style? To show people that it's possible to look stylish and still ride a bike - it's not all about lycra and flourescent colours or clunky shoes.
