That ol' black (and white) magic

Truly, it doesn't take much to set me off on a black and white escapade. I started the week with good intentions I swear it, but you know me, one black dress and it's all I need (see yesterdays post)
Still completely and utterly addicted to this gorgeous ring, at least I've changed my earrings.
You know whats so neat about trying this new hair style( you can't see it but today's is swept to the side in a chignon just under my ear), is that I've discovered how pretty bows, ribbons and scarves are as an addition.
And yes, that's a martini and for those of you who have an eye for detail you can read the clock....whats that look for?!

I made my dress, I fancied making my own dresses for a while and perhaps launching my own line, but I can't stop shopping. Perhaps one day, wouldn't it be wonderful to have your own shop full of wonderful things that you like. 'Lady Melbourne's Vintage Emporium' has a nice ring to it I think. Sigh......

Dress: Made by moi!
Shoes: eBay
Ring: Mouche
Earrings: Chanel
Ribbon: It was on a gift and I couldn't bear to part with it!

lol...the perfect time for the maid to bust out the drinks trolley!

Oh...and another stunning outfit! One day I'm hoping to log on and find you in garbage bag and chanel...care to take the despot up on a small wager?

I simply can't resist a challenge, specially as a despot such as yourself has a special place in my heart. Watch out for the results, I'll let you know when they're up.

That dress looks sensational on you. And how tiny does your waist look cinched by that belt!? I'm starting my diet tomorrow!

Hehe... your comment about the ribbon made me laugh. I've worn the ribbon that Net-a-porter use to tie their boxes as a bow belt. It's thick black grosgrain with cream stitches on the edges. You of all people must buy something from NAP just for the ribbon - you would love it!

I like the sound of that challenge btw.

You open the store, I promise to make special trips from Canberra just to shop there (and to bring you a martini too!)

wow, what a fantastic dress! i think your own clothing label would be a success.
anytime after midday is fine for cocktails i say, apart from your birthday or christmas, when it's any time from the moment you wake up!!!

Do you always do your hair yourself? I admire your patience!

So lovely! I would shop in your store (as long as the prices were in my range!). ^_- The little ribbon is my favorite flourish that finishes the look for me.

You never know, it might happen one of these days!
Truly the hair is easier than you think, I a wear it in different versions of what you see on the blog. I've tried it in a much more subtle way, a lower, flatter barrel roll as well. Honestly just jump onto youtube and have a look at the tutorials, I also did Super Kawaii Mama's, you can see her link on my reading list.

Oh wow this looks gorgeous. And stop apologising for the wearing the ring all the time. It's a fabulous trademark to have...

A girl after my own heart. Even 12.01 can be Martini time, anything before that and it has to be Bloody Mary's. Otherwise you just plain have a drinking problem! ;)

You alway look so chic but this outfit! You set a new standard. You can't go by classic black and white....
