Well, us Melbournians have made it to the end of a very long, hot week. I thought a cocktail dress and a drink were in order, if not deserved!
I have showcased Lady Melbourne under the air conditioning this week, but I can assure you there were plenty of hot, melting moments under the sweltering sun.
This dress is from the Tina Kalivas for Target range from about 2 years ago now. In my opinion it was the best Designer for Target range to date, and it was the first in Australia. Since then they have realised the pull of a designer label- the quality has dropped and prices risen.
I did not buy a single thing from the Stella McCartney or Zac Posen range, despite the hype and frenzy surrounding their respective ranges.
Anywho!
Have a lovely Friday where ever you are, to every one who has asked for a little bit of our heat I hope it leaves town and heads your way!
LM

You look so beautiful and lady like like no one else.

It you look lovely, and the Target designer collaborations have gone shoddy.. Anyway I love your blog!
And I hope this heatwave ends soon! It is way worse than last years.
Your dress looks beautiful and you look gorgeous in it. :)
I'd like a little bit of your heat... lovely dress, perfect for a Friday cocktail. Wish you a nice week-end.
i couldn't agree with you more about the heat! and definitely a well deserved celebration!
oh and you look extra striking from that angle!
Glad to see you survived the heat - and stylishly! Not like my deshevilled self indecent under a wet towel in front of the pedestal fan! Shocking!!
xx
Aren't we all so glad that this 40+ week is over! This coming week is all 30's and although hot, i'd much rather this:) So i'm pretty pleased that we all survived hehe! you're looking as lady like as always and you never cease to amaze me! x
Hey, don't forget the Yeojin Bae collection that was awesome!
Loving the way you have styled your hair here... I got mine cut on wed night and even though I just asked for a little length to be taken off, it has ended up a little longer than yours is now - so I'm turning to you for hair inspiration.
Wow. You look lovely! It's so nice to see someone dress like a lady...Here in the US we're constantly bombarded with outfits that would be better suited on prostitutes. I think girls here forget you don't have to reveal EVERYTHING in order to be beautiful or even sexy. Well done. You set a wonderful example.
you're stunning!beautiful dress... :.)
Sure hope it cools off in your neck of the woods, beautiful!
I like your hair style the last days, just a focus on your face.
loving the dress and the wall behind you! it all looks fab!
Hi LM!
I absolutely love that dress! I've recently become a fan of the kind of detail that's on the front of it (possibly from reading too much of your blogs...) and am very jealous!
Speaking of the heat - I know it was hot in melbourne but come on! Adelaide got to 46 on Tuesday! I suppose I just read too many melbourne bloggers :-P
Anyway, here's to a slightly cooler weekend.
xo
Your eyes are sparkling in the first picture. xx
Love the bow in your hair, looks wonderful with the dress, an unexpected change from jewellery, very fresh. I hope the temp drops soon for you, I'll try to send you some of our cooler NZ temp's.
I can't believe the heat you guys are having to endure down there, I thought QLD was bad! xx
I'm sure I just posted a comment but it's not showing, anyway I truely feel for all you southerners in the heat wave, I thought qld was bad! xx
Oh you poor melting Melbournians. I do feel your pain. We had one 41C day last weekend and I'd had enough. Granted we don't have aircon. I see the heat's melting the decals from the wall. Ffffff - that's me blowing a little cool air your city's way.
Love your hair, dress, makeup, wall and glass!
I really do like the Target "designer" collections. I know the quality is not the best, but there are always a few great pieces in each collection.
I'll be interested to see who they use next :) xxx
That glass is beautiful. what a lovely gift to receive!
Oh I have that dress too! It's one of my favourites, it fits like a dream and is so flattering. Anyway, glad we made it through the heatwave!
you look stunning! I looove that bow in your hair:)) Generally I love everything that's got bows:D :*
that dress is stunning on you! and your wall is fascinating...
Yes, we have melted into oblivion here too. This look you've put together would have to be one of my favorites ever. It is so stylish, cool and sophisticated, yet youthful at the same time. Well done you for looking so cool when it is so hot.
i love that bow!!!!
Lovely – I love the bow!
Well done on looking so put togther in the heat – I am quite defeated!
This look is awesome. Your bangs pinned off your face highlights your cheekbones and gives you a highly refined look. Personally, I think this style flatters your facial structure. The dress also enhances your decolletage and makes you look sleek and stylish.
I have this dress too! xx
Love your blog. Your layout is so refreshing and neat! I love that! lol.
