Charles and Ray Eames, welcome to my home

I was talking on twitter yesterday about how I had to schlep halfway across Melbourne to retrieve 'something,' but didn't say what.
Well, it was this beautiful Eames chair and ottoman that I bought for His Lordship for his birthday. He has everything he wants so I though that an investment piece of furniture that we could both enjoy would be perfect.

We both like Fler furniture and bought a suite last year, so in trying to keep with the theme of 1950's designed furniture I've added this. Now I'm on the hunt for a coffee table and side board.

The black and white photo is of my brother and I when we were little, and yes, I realise it isn't straight but I kind of like that it's a little off kilter. It's in the original frame and I can't bear to change it.

So, welcome to my lounge room!

I want your lounge room but alas have 2 great danes and 2 children who would desecrate it. I may have to live vicariously through your photos (wistful sigh).

What a thoughtful present! I love that the photo of you and your brother, wish I had a larger one of my siblings and I.

That's incredible. I was just thinking of buying this Eames chair and ottoman last weekend! Unfortunately my house isn't big enough to fit it - so jealous!

Jess- I love that side table, I have a pair I picked up at a trash and tresure for penuts.

Miri- it has to be comfy, I spend a lot of time on that couch!

Chantelle- oh so sweet, thanks!

♥Lola- I love the dogs too :)

Rusty Hoe- ha ha, it's not really baby proof is it?!

Julie- yup!

nashue- ta!

Ellie- yeah I like it took, I got it on the street, someone was throwing it out. Unbelievable!

The Frockette- ta!

PrettyYoungThing- rug is cute but needs a steam clean desperately!

The Princess of many sorts- oh thanks, you can buy quite easily online.

PlanningQueen- yeah, its my favourite photo in the whole world. How is Magnus going? Still adorable I have no doubt!

Jetsetting Joyce- you do have to have the room, and I wish that I had an even bigger room so that it could be 'show cased' better.

Bejewelled Dresser- thanks!

georgina- thanks, I'm a little bit anal about it all matching!

-elle♡- mmmmm, me too!

OMG!

I would KILL, and happily commit a number of other highly illegal activities, for an Eames chair. I shall have to pretend the dark green chenille armchair bed in my room is an Eames chair....
